Specialities covered in the downloadable guide:
Gynaecology
- Gynaecologists support women through every stage of life, from routine check-ups and contraception or reproductive health to menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy, and menopause. Many also help with conditions like endometriosis, PCOS, or recurrent infections. They’re often a first point of contact for intimate and hormonal health concern.
Urology & Urogynaecology
- These specialists focus on bladder and pelvic health – addressing issues like incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, and recurrent UTIs. Their work often overlaps with menopause care, childbirth recovery, and sexual health, helping women improve comfort and quality of life.
Pelvic Floor Therapy
- Pelvic floor therapists are helping women recover, strengthen, heal, and reconnect with their core and pelvic floor. They play a key role after pregnancy or surgery, but also help with everyday issues like incontinence, pain, or pelvic tension — empowering women to feel confident in their bodies again.
GPs with Focus on Women’s Health
- General practitioners are often the first point of contact for women navigating their health journeys, providing routine screenings to complex conditions. Those with a special focus on women’s health bring a deeper understanding of hormonal changes, reproductive health, menopause, and intimate concerns. They play a key role in early diagnosis, preventative care, and guiding patients toward the right specialists when needed.
Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Fertility & IVF
- OB/GYN and fertility specialists support women through some of the most significant chapters of their lives — from menstrual and reproductive health to pregnancy, fertility journeys, and menopause. They help manage conditions like PCOS, endometriosis, and hormonal changes, as well as guide individuals and couples through conception, fertility treatments, and IVF.
Sexual Health
- Sexual health specialists support women with concerns around sexual wellbeing, pleasure, infections (STDs), libido, and pain. Their work often bridges physical, psychological, and relational aspects of intimate health, creating a safe space for open conversations.
Integrative Women’s Health
- Integrative women’s health looks at the whole picture — connecting hormonal balance, nutrition, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, and recovery after major health events. Specialists in this field bring together medical knowledge and holistic approaches to support women through transitions like menopause, fertility journeys, and life after breast cancer. Their goal is to create sustainable, personalised pathways to long-term wellbeing.
Please note, the downloadable PDF is not a directory or paid listing, it’s a spotlight on people who are keen to make a difference. We’ve put this together to share as educational guidance with our community – something we know is much needed, given how difficult it can be for women to find the right support.
One last note before we’d highly recommend downloading the guide: this overview is just the beginning, not a finished list. Do you know a specialist who should be included? Share your recommendation after you downloaded the guide – we’d love to hear from you and include more dedicated health care professionals in the next update.
